Recurring Gifts
A recurring gift is a commitment to give a preset amount at regular intervals – usually monthly, quarterly or annually. This faithful giving accumulates for a greater impact. Donors remain in control of their generosity and are often able to give more than they would with an unplanned gift. The predictability of recurring support also helps our Sisters better plan for the future and make long-term decisions and investments that further support our Franciscan mission and the care of our Sisters.
- Set Up Recurring Payment Online via Credit or Debit Card by clicking here: Donate Online. Then simply choose your donation amount, select frequency, add your information and submit the online form.
- Set Up through your Bank or Financial Institution: Automatic donations from a checking account can be arranged via your bank or financial institution, similar to how one would set up an automatic payment for a bill. Some donors choose to set up a donor-advised fund or living charitable trust that can maximize the impact of their giving with additional tax benefits. A trusted financial advisor can guide you regarding what is best for you.
- Contact Our Development Office: Call our Development Director at 412-885-7232 and she will manually set up a recurring payment to your credit or debit card over the phone.
Planned Giving
Some donors benefit from planned giving. This includes leaving a charitable gift in a will or trust, or by naming the Sisters as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan, such as an IRA. Some donors set up living charitable trusts that help maximize the impact of their giving and may have a tax benefit, especially under revised charitable giving rules. A trusted financial advisor can guide you regarding what is best for you and your beneficiaries.
Matching Gifts
Does your employer match charitable donations? Sometimes your gift can be doubled by your company or the firm from which you have retired. The company’s personnel or human resources office can tell you if they have a matching gift program. If so, please fill out the matching gift form and include it with your gift.
