During the second week of Advent, we reflect upon PEACE. The peace we contemplate is not simply an absence of conflict or state of contentment. Like the infant whose birth in a stable we are preparing to celebrate, God’s Peace exists in the face of sadness, hardships, and challenges. Peace is a way of life on earth, in anticipation of the fully realized Peace in our eternal home with Christ. As Franciscans called to be instruments of God’s peace this includes witnessing to the Gospel by living simply, loving honestly and humbly serving one another and ALL of God’s creation. What does Peace mean to you?
Join us as we continue to pray: God, how can I be an instrument of your peace? How can I show your Peace by being an example of Christ’s love? How can I give others the Peace of knowing that You are with us now, and always?
