This third week of Advent, we reflect upon JOY. In “Daily Reflections for Advent & Christmas: Waiting in Joyful Hope,” Robert F. Morneau writes, “Advent is truly a season of joy, a joy that comes to us through the Gospel.” We are joyful because God is with us. The baby whose birth we celebrate at Christmas is the same Jesus Christ who died for our salvation on the Cross. The same risen Christ who walks with us today.
How do our lives reflect the joy we know because of God’s gift of extravagant love? How can we keep the joy of Christ in our hearts beyond Advent and Christmas? How is our joy related to hope and peace?
Going forward this Advent season, we invite you to join us as we revisit Pope Francis’ “Evangelii Gaudium” (Joy of the Gospel):http://tinyurl.com/jyrwufb
