Prayer Ministry, Prayer Requests & Mass Requests

Mary Immaculate Chapel

As part of our daily life, we include many of our friends, family, benefactors and neighbors around the world in our prayers. Additionally, Sisters never totally retire. After leaving full or part time paid employment (ministry) on or off campus, our Sisters begin a new ministry known as Prayer Ministry. As the name implies, they spend a good deal of time in prayer. Through prayer requests asked of us by friends, family, employees, mail and phone calls, Sisters spend time praying for the special intentions and giving thanks for prayers answered. To request that you or your loved ones be remembered in our prayers, please call (412) 882-9911.

We also celebrate the Liturgy daily and many of those Masses are offered for living and deceased members of our congregation as well as the living and deceased members of our family, friends and benefactors. For more information on Mass Requests, please call (412
) 882-9911 or e-mail info@osfprov.org.

Devotion in Honor of Saint Anthony of Padua

All Are Invited to Participate in Our St. Anthony Devotions.

For over 60 years, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God have prayed the devotion of the 13 Tuesdays in honor of St. Anthony. We invite you to join us in this tradition to pray for peace, healing, and blessings for each other. Devotional prayers are conducted in the Mary Immaculate Chapel of our Motherhouse. They begin at 7:15 AM Tuesday mornings from March 18, 2008, to June 10, 2008. After special devotional prayers, we celebrate the liturgy of the Eucharist. You are most welcome to join us for these times of prayer.

If you are not able to join us in our Mary Immaculate Chapel, -Click Here - to download a St Anthony Devotion prayer booklet that you can use with your family in your own home or call (412) 885-7232 to request a booklet be sent in the mail.

During these 13 Tuesdays, the intentions of all those who request our prayers are offered as the Sisters pray for Godfs blessings on all their friends and benefactors. If you would like to have your intentions remembered during this devotional prayer, please call (412) 882-9911, e-mail us at info@osfprov.org, or mail us the prayer intention form included below

As we join with each other in praying our personal intentions, we ask also that we all may be united in our efforts to pray for world peace and an end to violence. The Sisters believe that peace is possible and that it begins with each person. Peace is a way of life. Join us not only in praying for peace but also in constructing a culture of peace.

In closing, we ask that you remember the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God and those we serve in your prayers.
