Donor Recognition and Memorials
Giving Tree Donor Recognition and Memorial Plaques
To better recognize the generosity of dedicated and faithful benefactors, the Sisters recently revived their Donor Recognition and Memorial Plaque Program. Under the program, donors who give or pledge a certain amount over a period of time will receive a plaque on our Giving Tree in their name. Plaques may also be issued "In memory of," "In honor of," or "In gratitude to" a person of the donor’s choosing.
Sensitive to the fact that we have many humble benefactors, who may not want to be recognized, plaques will only be issued at a donor’s request.
Donations of $2,500 or above qualify for a plaque on the Giving Tree. Donations of $100,000 or above qualify for a special stone. Donors can choose to make one gift or pledge several gifts over three years. Bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities and other forms of planned giving also qualify for recognition.

Living Tree Memorials
Trees can serve as living memorials that not only enrich the air and land, but benefit many future generations. Donations made to the St. Francis Tree Fund can help replace trees damaged or destroyed in the 1999 microburst on our Pittsburgh campus, as well others that were lost due to disease, storms and other natural phenomena.
All gifts are greatly appreciated. Donors can choose to donate a single amount to the Tree Fund or purchase a whole tree in memory or honor of a loved one. Trees that we are currently looking to replace or plant are listed below. Also included is the donation amount that would cover the cost to purchase and plant an adult 6-8 foot tree. Past experience has taught that these adult trees have the best chance of surviving the varying weather patterns of Pittsburgh, as well as hungry animals. Any donor who would like to make a donation or pledge to purchase an adult tree is eligible for a donor recognition or memorial plaque.
